Parenting Support & Education

If you choose to parent, we can help you prepare and parent with confidence! First Care provides coaching support, education, and material resources to families through its Every Family Program.

You are the parent. We provide support.

From the moment you find out you are pregnant until your youngest child turns five, The Every Family Program is a strong support system, offering resources and guidance to support and sustain you on your parenting journey.

Our role is not to tell you how to parent, but to empower you by providing tools that equip you to make healthy choices, develop connections with your child(ren), and thrive as parents. Our parenting coaches facilitate question-based conversation so that you can discover your unique parenting strengths and solutions. 

After each coaching session, you will earn points that can be used to shop in one of our clothing closets. Each closet is stocked with practical items for your child(ren) including diapers, wipes, pullups, clothing, maternity clothes, and equipment.

LOCATIONS

How do I get started?

All parents who are either pregnant or have children under the age of 5 are eligible to join the Every Family Program.

To enroll, contact the center nearest to you to schedule an intake. At this appointment, you can expect to meet with one of our staff who will get to know you and your family, learn about your family’s needs, and help you make a plan for your parenting goals.

You will earn points at your intake appointment and be able to shop in the closet right away.

What can I expect?

In addition to one-on-one discussion, you will have the opportunity to engage in the following resources:

BrightCourse

BrightCourse provides evidence-based, up-to-date information on pregnancy, labor & delivery, child development, and other relevant parenting topics. You will hear from experts and other parents, equipping you to enter the next stage of parenting with confidence.

Connected Families

The Connected Families Framework is the foundation of our program and the method of our coaching sessions. In addition to the Framework, they have created many video courses that utilize their Framework and go into parenting topics more in depth.

At-Home Access

As a participant in Every Family, you have FREE access to all of the Connected Families courses to watch at any time! Talk to any of our staff about getting a login set up.

Good Father Program

The Good Father Program is an 8-session individual coaching program for dads. Throughout the sessions, you will engage with various tools that increase self-awareness, intentionality, and help you identify core values to create actionable steps towards positive change.

Parent Groups

We host parenting groups across our office locations! Connect with other moms and dads who are in a similar stage of life and are invested in being a safe and connected parent for their children.

First Care

Nurse Check-Ins

Preparing for birth, recently had a baby or have questions about breastfeeding? Our licensed medical staff are available to meet with you during your Every Family appointment.

Prenatal Education and Breastfeeding Support classes are also available at several of our offices.

Client Care Support

Your Client Care Worker is available to meet with you at any time and provide holistic support and connect you to helpful resources.
